On Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the National Police Academy, located on Road de Frères, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé took part in the official ceremony marking the commencement of the 35th class of the Haitian National Police (PNH) into their four-month intensive training program.

The ceremony was attended by Presidential Advisor Leslie Voltaire, Acting Director General of the PNH Vladimir Paraison, members of the High Command of the Police Institution, Mario Andrésol, Secretary of State for Public Security, U.S. Ambassador to Haiti Henry Wooster, Canadian Ambassador André François Giroux, a delegation from the French Embassy, ​​and several other officials from the diplomatic corps and government.

In his speech, Fils-Aimé, Prime Minister and President of the National Police High Council, reaffirmed the Government's determination to strengthen the operational capabilities of the PNH, committed to the fight to restore state authority throughout the country.

He reiterated that this action is structured around four priorities :

• Improving the living conditions of police officers;

• Providing adequate equipment to the police institution;

• Continuing training for new recruits;

• Supporting the families of police officers killed in combat.

Addressing the 35th class of officers, the Prime Minister reminded them of "Discipline, honor, rigor, and patriotism. Every police officer is a pillar of the rule of law," while saluting their bravery and determination to regain control of areas occupied by armed gangs and to ensure the free movement of people and goods.

"May the 35th class of the Haitian National Police rise to the challenges that await it and write one of the finest pages in the history of the PNH," he concluded by reiterating the commitment of the Presidential Transitional Council and the Government to restore security, strengthen republican institutions, and organize general elections, in accordance with the Agreement of April 3rd, 2025.
