Haiti - PNH : Development of the Strategic Development Plan (2026-2030)

Vladimir Paraison, the Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian National Police (PNH), participated this week in the opening of an internal discussion and consultation workshop with police officers of all ranks and grades, aimed at developing a strategic plan for the PNH's development for the period 2026-2030.

This initiative seeks to strengthen the active participation of PNH officers and personnel in analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the police force. It also allows them to express their needs, share their ideas, and contribute to identifying priority reforms essential for improving the PNH's performance and effectiveness.

Representatives from the Secretary of State for Public Security and several international partners, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP-Haiti) and the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), participated in the workshop, demonstrating their support for the institutional planning and modernization process.

This participatory approach is an important step in building a more modern, more efficient National Police force, fully committed to effectively addressing current and future public safety challenges.
