Haiti - FLASH : Large-scale anti-gang operation by the Haitian National Police (PNH) supported by the FRG

On the night of Wednesday, December 18, 2025, a large-scale anti-gang operation was launched by the Haitian National Police (PNH), supported by the Gang Supression Force (GSF) with helicopters. The operation targeted the areas of Pernier, Torcelle, Tabarre, and Croix-des-Bouquets, and specifically targeted the terrorist group "Kraze Barye" led by Vitel'homme Innocent, for whose capture a $2 million bounty has been placed.

Residents of the affected areas experienced a night of panic, marked by more powerful than usual kamikaze drone explosions, the constant circling of GSF helicopters, and intense bursts of automatic gunfire.

On Thursday, the fighting continued. According to the PNH, the operations are proceeding normally, and the forces deployed on the ground will remain engaged for as long as necessary to achieve the established objectives. Several major roads, including the Frères road, are currently blocked.

No official information is available regarding the outcome of this operation. The Haitian National Police (PNH) reiterates that the operation is still ongoing and that it is premature to draw any conclusions.
