Haiti - Finance : Towards the Modernization of the Financial Market

From February 11 to 13, 2026, the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) organized training sessions for banks on the use of the Central Securities Depository (CSD).

These sessions aimed to strengthen the technical skills of financial institutions in using this essential infrastructure for modernizing the financial market, promoting more secure, transparent, and efficient management of financial securities.

Participants received practical and progressive training on access administration, user profiles, and securities accounts, as well as on the main operations of the primary and over-the-counter markets. Practical exercises allowed them to apply the concepts covered and ensure a thorough understanding of the CSD's functionalities.

Through this initiative, the Central Bank continues its efforts to equip financial institutions with the necessary skills for the effective use of this tool and to support the smooth functioning of the financial market in Haiti.

Further training sessions are planned in the coming weeks to support non-bank financial institutions.
