Haiti - Nippes : Deployment of approximately one hundred police officers from the 35th graduating class

Under the supervision of Divisional Commissioner Louis Jeune Pierre Michelet, assisted by his deputy, Divisional Commissioner Jean François Jean Michel, and several officials from the Nippes Departmental Directorate (DDNI), a deployment operation of approximately one hundred police officers from the 35th graduating class of the Haitian National Police (PNH) took place on March 4th, 2026, in Miragoâne.

This reinforcement of personnel is part of the policy to strengthen ties and security across the national territory, in order to better meet the needs of the population of the Nippes department.

This event marks the official assignment of these officers to the various police stations, substations, and operational units within the department. Of the 100 officers expected, 94 were present and welcomed to reinforce the territorial units.

Before assuming their duties, a blessing and prayer session was led by Reverend Father Mackley, parish priest of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus in Berquin. This moment of reflection was observed to invoke divine protection upon these new officers called to serve the community.

Following this ceremony, a familiarization patrol was conducted in the streets of downtown Miragoâne. This initiative aimed to familiarize the officers with their work environment while establishing a visible police presence.

Furthermore, the DDNI made all the necessary logistical arrangements to ensure the safe transportation of the officers to their respective postings, thus guaranteeing a smooth and effective integration into local structures.
