Advanced Tactical Training : Graduation in Haiti of the 2nd Class

On Friday, April 3rd, 2026, following a simulated assault operation marking the end of their training, Inspector General (IG) Jacques Joël Orival, Central Director of Administrative Police (DCPA), presided over the graduation ceremony for the 2nd class of police officers who completed advanced tactical training at the new Anti-Gang Training Center in Morne Casse, dedicated to the specialized units of the Haitian National Police (PNH) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-46835-haiti-morne-casse-anti-gang-training-center-dedicated-to-specialized-units.html

The thirty participating police officers received their certificates, attesting to their enhanced skills to address current security challenges. The training was conducted in partnership with international instructors and national trainers, themselves graduates of the program. The police officers come from various specialized units of the Haitian National Police (PNH), including SWAT, the Anti-Gang Unit (UTAG), the Counter-Ambush Unit (CAT), the Departmental Operations and Intervention Brigade (BOID), and the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI). They were trained together according to harmonized standards, promoting better operational coordination.

Given the realities on the ground, where interventions often require collaboration between different units and jurisdictions, this training is a crucial tool for improving the PNH's operational response in the fight against insecurity, particularly against armed gangs and terrorism.
