Group B : Matchday 3 Playoff Results

As part of the 2025-2026 D1 Paryaj Lakay season, the Haitian Football League (LHF) has published the results of the two Matchday 3 playoff games for Group B, played on April 19, 2026.

America FC vs FC Juventus (Land des Gabion)

FC Juventus dominated America FC with a resounding 4-0 victory. América goals: Ronaldo Philippeaux 11’ [0-1], Makentoche Fédé 23’ [0-2], Ronaldo Philippeaux 70’ (second goal) [0-3], and Guetz Synvilcat 73’ [0-4]

Seguin Neighborhood under PNH control

Divisional Commissioner Appolos Villette, the new Southeast Departmental Director, visited the Seguin Neighborhood and the sub-station on April 18th. Several specialized PNH units are deployed in the area following attacks by terrorist gangs. The Haitian National Police (PNH) announced that security measures had been reinforced and that the situation was now under the control of law enforcement. Appolos Villette replaced Divisional Commissioner Margalie Belnau, who served for over 10 months as head of the Departmental Directorate.

People with Disabilities : Promoting Financial Independence

In order to find the necessary resources to promote the financial independence of people living with disabilities, Genard Joseph, the Secretary of State for the Integration of People with Disabilities, accompanied by officials from the institution, held an important working meeting with representatives from the Bank of the Republic of Haiti, the National Council of Cooperatives, and the Office of Management and Human Resources. During this meeting, Genard Joseph discussed the issue of financial inclusion for people with disabilities with these officials and explored potential solutions. The representatives demonstrated strong motivation and commitment to supporting this project.

School Subsidy Distribution Continues

On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the National Education Fund (FNE) continued its distribution of school subsidy checks to vulnerable families. For the 2025-2026 school year in Haiti, the school subsidy program provides 20,000 gourdes per family. The program is funded primarily by contributions from the diaspora (a $1.50 fee on remittances) and fees from telephone calls.

Agreement Between the Ministry for the Status of Women and the ONI

The National Identification Office (ONI) and the Ministry for the Status of Women signed an agreement aimed at bringing identification services closer to the population, with a particular focus on women and vulnerable groups. Through this agreement, identification service units will be progressively established within the Ministry's departmental directorates to reduce geographical, social, and administrative barriers to obtaining a National Identification Card (CIN).

Closing of the Training of Trainers on GBV Management

On Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Ritz Kinam 2 Hotel in Pétion-Ville, the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Women's Rights (MCFDF), in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), concluded its training of trainers on managing cases of Gender-Based Violence (GBV). Over the four days, participants took part in several technical sessions focusing on protection mechanisms, the development of individualized action plans to support victims, and referrals to available services.
