Kenscoff : Terrorist Attack in Malong

On Friday, May 1st, according to eyewitness accounts, heavily armed individuals from the "Viv Ansanm" terrorist coalition attacked the Malong area in the Soursailles communal section of Kenscoff. They killed Cheristin and Josué Fortuné, then set fire to a house with the victims' bodies inside.

American Military in Ouanaminthe ?

On Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, as part of Operation Southern Spear, a contingent of American military personnel reportedly landed in Ouanaminthe, Haiti, at noon. The aircraft is said to have landed at the Haitian customs heliport, carrying American soldiers accompanied by members of the Haitian National Police. According to available (unofficial) information, the priority missions of the American contingent deployed in Ouanaminthe are to combat narco-terrorism, prevent gangs from retreating to the Dominican Republic, and stop arms smuggling...

Football : Batcheba promoted to the English Premier League

The all-time leading scorer for the national team, Grenadière Batcheba Louis, nicknamed "Batchebut" won the English Championship with Birmingham City Women, securing the club's return to the Barclays Women’s Super League. Having arrived last August, the Grenadière quickly established herself in the English team's starting eleven, playing a key role in their promotion to the top division. With Birmingham City Women, Batcheba Louis has scored 7 goals in 23 matches in her first season.

Temporary Relocation of the General Hospital

Sinal Bertrand, the Minister of Public Health, announced the temporary relocation of the State University Hospital of Haiti (HUEH), commonly known as the General Hospital, which has been closed due to security concerns since February 2024. This relocation will take place in Pétion-ville, specifically at the Haitian Community Hospital, while the General Hospital is being restored to its original location. This relocation will also allow for the resumption of normal training for students in medicine, pharmacy, biology, nursing, and other fields.

Baltimore SC vs. Violette AC First Leg [0-0]

On Wednesday, May 3rd, 2026, Baltimore SC faced Violette AC in the first leg of the final at Parc Levelt. The match ended in a 0-0 draw. The D1 closing series title, Paryaj Lakay, will now be decided at Parc Ste Thérèse in Pétion-Ville with the return leg on Sunday, May 10, to conclude the season.
