Resumption of Air Operations with the Dominican Republic On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, the Dominican Civil Aviation Board (JAC) announced in a public statement that it had adopted a resolution to reinstate passenger and cargo air operations between Cap-Haitien International Airport and Dominican airports, effective May 30, 2026. Attack on the Residence of the Leader of "Kokorat San Ras" On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, a major operation was carried out against the residence of "Bendjy" the leader of the "Kokorat San Ras" gang. The unblocking of this road marks a significant step forward in securing areas such as Cazeau, Croix-des-Missions, and Butte-Boyer, and will allow the police to reinforce their patrols in this strategic sector. MJSAC : New Director General On May 26, 2026, in Frères, Pythagore Dumas, the Minister of Youth, Sports, and Civic Action, officially installed Wilfince Mombrun as the new Director General of the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Civic Action (MJSAC).
