Terror in Kenscoff

Heavily armed terrorists once again sowed terror in Kenscoff on the night of Monday June 8 to Tuesday June 9, 2026. During an attack in the locality of Bake, 4th section of Belle Fontaine, two brothers, Henrilus and Jeanois JEAN, were killed. Several other people were injured by bullets, according to Massillon Jean, the town's mayor, who added that the attackers also took away several heads of cattle.

Hinche : 300 displaced families "rehoused"

In Hinche, more than 300 families affected by armed violence in Haiti were relocated from two former school sites to a new transit center, where they now have access to services essential to their survival. This move also allows children to return to their classrooms after more than a year of absence. With Civil Protection North and their partners, other families will continue to be relocated, while humanitarian services are being expanded.

Cap-Haitien talks with street vendors

Tuesday June 9, 2029, the municipal administration of Cap Haïtien met with street vendors for the second time, in order to explain to them in more detail the procedures in force and to reach an agreement concerning the use of public space. The objective is to make them understand the need to stop occupying sidewalks, which are spaces reserved for pedestrians. As part of this dialogue, the administration also requests that all locations occupied by sellers be kept clean and vacated every day from 5:00 p.m.

Mexico : Haiti at Aldea Global 2026

The Embassy of Haiti in Mexico announces the official participation of Haiti in Aldea Global 2026, which will take place at Bosque de Chapultepec from June 10 to 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This international event brings together the 48 nations participating in the FIFA World Cup in a space dedicated to cultural exchanges, dialogue and cooperation.
