Haiti - Health : After his surgery the President Martelly is doing well

Thursday, April 5 in Miami, the President Michel Martelly, underwent successfully, an arthroscopic surgery at the level of the right shoulder and all went well. The arthroscopy is a urgical procedure very common for the problems of joints. This surgical intervention was scheduled since the one previously performed in October 2011, to his left shoulder.

The Head of State will spend a few days of convalescence in Miami. The President Martelly has already expressed his desire to return to Haiti to resume his working agenda and hopes to be back home, Thursday, April 12, to welcome, Felipe Calderón President of Mexico, who will make an official visit to Haiti.

Learn more about the arthroscopy :

Arthroscopy is a technique previously reserved for the examination of the joints, today, more and more procedures are performed arthroscopically. In practice, the surgeon inserts a micro camera, through a small incision which allows him to see everything that happens inside the joint and perform his surgery. Thanks to this technique, the procedure, the anesthesia and the aftermath of the intervention, are significantly less for the patient.
