Haiti - Culture : New Book of Lyonel Trouillot

Haitian poet and novelist, Lyonel Trouillot will release at the end of May, are latest book entitled "Objectif : L'autre" to the Editions André Versaille.

In this book, Lyonel Trouillot takes stock of his life, his passions, his friends, his reading and his fights. "It's always stupid to reminisce. They take their autonomy, escape us, come back, with this manner that the things rebels have do not ask our opinion before they appear. And then, talk, tell, it's always hiding something. The story is the territory of avoidance. While you tell me a story, others are held, and they that also deserve to be told. Who decides in meof what I remember ? And why did I choose to forget such as face or event ? Maybe I that I have only delivered the things with which I am permitted to live while hiding those that haunt me really ?" -- Lyonel Trouillot

The book will be on sale as of May 30, 2012 and the author will be present at the bookstore Kleber in Strasbourg (France) May 31, 2012 pmat 19:00 for a presentation and signing.
