Rosny Desroches, Executive Director of the Civil Society Initiative (ISC) has proceeded yesterday Wednesday at the launch of the Exhibition Fair which will be held to Saut d'Eau, 13 and July 14, 2012 [two days before the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel], around the theme "Saut d'Eau a Modern Pilgrimage Centre, of Touring and Production"

"[...] We will also launch a project, that the mayor of Saut d'Eau will run with the support the ISC and with funding from the European Union [funded to the tune of 400,000 euros]. This is a project of capacity building in 3 municipalities, the mayor of Saut d'Eau, Lascaobas et Belladère, and it is also a project to promote investment in the Central Plateau and in these three municipalities.

The opening of the Exhibition Fair will be held Friday at 10:00 am at the Evangelical Mission by Faith, near the waterfall [...] we will have a conference at 1:30 pm on the same site, on the possibilities of investment in the town of Saut d'Eau and the Central Department [...]

We will have the exhibition of the work carried out by various NGOs active in the area, but also the possibility to buy many products, agricultural products, processed agricultural products, products of art and craft [...]

We also have Citadelle agency, which organizes an excursion by bus [...] you will find good restaurants on site during these two days [...]"

Gesper Barthelemy, the Mayor of Saut d'Eau present at the launch declared "...it is a fair who will present products and potential there is to Saut d'Eau [...] to the point of view agriculture, handicrafts and tourism. [...] We encourage everyone to come, because when you come to a fair, you encourage domestic production.

There is not only churches in Saut d'Eau, not only waterfalls as resources, we must not forget that Saut d'Eau is the second producer of mango at the national level [...] has also a potential in the pineapple, cantaloupe, green beans... Saut d'Eau is rich in water but also rich in agricultural potential.

We invite all people who come to participate in the Fair, to bath, to eat, also pray and this to return home in Peace, and return another time to Saut d'Eau [...] all the provisions are taken to ensure the safety of people who come to the Exhibition fair [...]"
