Haiti - Culture : Stop to the sale of our heritage !

The Ministry of Culture, following an investigation and reports of Organisms dedicated to the heritage protection and various testimonies of members of the population, found that parts belonging to our National Heritage, are systematically put on sale, in violation of national laws and international conventions to which the Republic of Haiti is linked...

The Ministry of Culture recalls that it is strictly forbidden to market of parts (tools, chains, colonial boilers, wheels, cannons, etc...) belonging to the National Heritage, under penalty of prosecution.

The Ministry of Culture, while taking steps to stop such illegal acts, reminds to citizens that they are the primary guardians of the national heritage and that its protection is both a duty and an obligation.
