Haiti - Football U20 : The Grenadiers en route to Jamaica

After their brilliant qualifying in the first round, our Grenadiers leave the country this Saturday, November 3 for Jamaica to participate in the second round of qualifying for the FIFA U-20 of the World Cup 2013 in Turkey.

Our Grenadiers will face at Waterhouse Stadium (Kingston) November 5 Curacao ; November 7 Trinidad & Tobago and November 9 Puerto Rico. Remember that no Haitian U-20 team has never competed in the finals of the FIFA World Cup in this category, but all hopes are allowed, our Grenadiers are super motivated and the morale at the top.

Wilner Etienne, National Technical Director stated that everything is ready on the medical plan "We had a very bad experience in 2011 with the U-17. Jamaican authorities had done everything to eliminate us by saying that our players had malaria and other stories. Also the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) has hired an expert in sports medicine to test each player. Arrangements that would allow us to anticipate the potential harm of the football authorities of Jamaica as was the case with the U-17 [...]" All players have a complete medical record and have been tested negative for malaria cholera, typhoid and other diseases, in short, they are all in excellent health !

The first two of each group will qualify for the final stage which will be played in Puebla (Mexico) from 18 February to 2 March 2013 with the participation of twelve teams divided into three groups of four. Three teams of the Confederation of North, Central and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) will be qualified for the finals of the World Cup U-20 World Cup which will take place from June 21 to July 13, 2013 in Turkey.
