Following the last tour in Canada, of Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, where she met some officials of Air Transat [Canadian company based in Montreal], a delegation of Air Transat, composed of Ms. Renée Boisvert, Vice President Products and Ms. Pascale Hilaire, Purchaser, made an exploratory visit to Haiti, which ended Sunday.

By this visit, Air Transat, the largest Canadian air carrier specializing in holiday travel, intended to better inquire of tourism potential of the country, in order to explore the possibilities of development of tourist packages (tour) in Haiti, said Ms. Renée Boisvert, representatives of the company.

It is in Jacmel on Thursday, that the delegation of Air Transat began his exploration tour by visiting some sites of the Historic Center of the city, various hotel facilities, some beaches and craft workshops of the region.

In Port-au-Prince, the delegation visited several hotels and some tourist sites before going on the Côte-des-Arcadins, where the Regional Council of Côte-des-Arcadins (CRCA), presented to the representatives of Air Transat, the tourism potentials (hotels, forts, waterfalls, natural, etc...) of the region.

To conclude their visit a working meeting was held at the Visa Lodge, with the receptive agencies Mesdames Boisvert and Hilaire, assert that the four days in Haiti, were fruitful and that they bring with them all the fervor of those they encountered during their stay.

The representatives of the tour operator, indicated that they would submit a positive report to the company and continue to work together with the hotel and the Haitian Ministry of Tourism in order to implement the project.
