Haiti - Security : 1,708 arrests in November !

Wednesday, Frantz Lerebour, spokesman of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), presented to the press, the result of operations of the PNH for the month of November, retain among the strong points, for the month of November, on approximately 1,600 infringements recorded by the police, it proceeded to 1.708 arrests among others : 511 people were arrested for violation of physical integrity, 44 for assassination, 479 for theft and armed attacks, 140 for for indecent, 17 for financial crime. During this period, the police executed 615 mandates of justice.

As part of the investigation on the kidnapping of George Vincent, in Lilavois at home, the spokesman of the PNH indicated "[...] The Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ), has arrested in Bon Repos, 12 people, including two bank employees, as part of the kidnapping and disappearance of George Vincent, we say disappearance because we have no proof that he died [...] the investigation allowed the DCPJ to arrest 2 bandits who were actively sought, which had ten cases to their credit, one of them is a former parliamentary candidate [...] he had already been arrested last year in Carrefour, but after the intervention of the legislature, he was released [...] but now, we realized that we are dealing with a big personality in the organized crime, and it is in the hands of the DCPJ, who will transfer him to the judge.
