Haiti - Politic : 7.8 million Euros for a program to support civil society

From February 20 to 22, representatives of the Delegation of European Union in Haiti, Mr. Jean-Edner Nelson, the National Authorising Officer of the European Development Fund (FED) and the cell team of Management of Programme, have proceeded to the launch of "Programme to support the strengthening and structuring of civil society in Haiti" (PARSCH) respectively in the Departments of Centre, North and Northeast.

The PARSCH, is part of the actions undertaken by the Government in partnership with the European Union to establish a rule of law in the country and develop a dialogue with non-state actors and civil society in particular.

Financed from the 10th EDF resources, amounting to €7.8 million, the PARSCH will be executed primarily in these three departments and in the Department of the West, under the supervision of the Office of the National Authorising Officer and the Ministries of Planning, Social Affairs and Labour as Maitre d'oeuvre. This program will end in January 2015.
