Haiti - Diplomacy : Laurent Lamothe received by Jean-Marc Ayrault

Friday, as part of his European tour, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe returned to France after his tour in Belgium, was received at the Hotel Matignon (Paris) with his French counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault.

The French Prime Minister, reminded to Laurent Lamothe, that two ministers of his government have already visited Haiti and that on July 31 of this year the country has been ranked on the list of priority countries to benefit from the development aid. He reviewed the state of cooperation between the two countries and took the opportunity to congratulate the Prime Minister of Haiti for his determination and ensure him of his willingness to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, marked by history and cultural affinities.

Jean-Marc Ayrault also sent an official invitation from the President of the French Republic, François Hollande, to the President of the Republic of Haiti, Michel Martelly.

For his part, Laurent Lamothe drew a picture of the situation in Haiti on all aspects and particularly on security, rule of law, state reform and public finance.
