Haiti - Reconstruction : AECOM obtains a contract of $1.3MM of the EDH

AECOM, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for public and private clients in more than 140 countries around the world, announced that it has been awarded a $CA1.3-million (US$1.25-million) contract by Électricité d'Haïti (EDH) for the engineering and construction supervision of a 115 kV substation and medium voltage transmission lines.

The project, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), consists of the construction of the 120 MVA Tabarre substation with two 115/12.5 kV transformers and 10 circuits to facilitate electricity distribution. Secondary works are also required at the Nouveau Delmas and Peligre substations.

An AECOM team of energy professionals from the Montreal office works on this project to provide the design review and engineering services as well as support the site supervision team composed of local workers.

"Through this project, we are proud to participate in Haiti's economic development and reconstruction efforts", declared Damien Tholomier, AECOM's Energy Business Line Lead in Canada. "I am confident that our expertise in this type of works, combined with our extensive knowledge of Haiti and of the client will maximize the economic and social benefits of the project and will contribute to an improved standard of living for its citizens."
