Earlier this week, a planning meeting was held at the premises of the Technical Office of the Historical Center (BTCH) of Jacmel, attended by Hugues André Paul, Mayor of Jacmel, Ms. Joan Dithny Raton, Departmental Director of Tourism South East, Ms. Carolina Paredes, Technical Assistant Heritage and Culture of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID), Ms Annelise Archen, of Architects Without Borders (France) and Ms. Magdala Saint-Paul, Coordinator of the project and the Staff of the technical office.

This meeting was to present the works of the municipal complex of Jacmel (Hall and building of the old convent school) to Mrs. Olga Koukouio, the new Project manager (Chargée de mission) of the rench Development Agency (AFD) in Haiti.

Funded by the Spanish Cooperation through the Ministry of Tourism, the premises Town Hall will be inaugurated on December 14 and will serve only to accommodate the offices of City Council and the community hall (salle des fêtes).

The work of rehabilitation of the former premises of the sisters' school, which will serve as accommodation for municipal services of Jacmel, will be financed by AFD.

It was also discussed of the rogress of the work of the towan hall, among others : the notice on retaining wall of the Municipal Complex developed by Architects Without Borders France ; the document of emergency action on the peripheral wall West of the town hall of Jacmel developed by the Spanish company "Patrimonio48" and the Haitian firm SOCECOS and the document of project of demolition of the retaining wall of the Town hall of Jacmel, developed by the firm SOCECOS.
