Haiti - Economy : Departmental Directorate Council in the North

Saturday as part of his tour in the department of North and Northwest, Wilson Laleau, Minister of Economy and Finance, met with Regional Directors of various institutions under the supervision of the Ministry during a Departmental Directorate Council. This Council enabled Directors to present their grievances and an overview of the various activities in the department.

This Council, allowed the Minister Laleau to renew its commitment and that of his Ministry to improve the Haitian financial system, taking new measures to better control the offices of perceptions across the 10 departments and the service provided in general to the population.

In addition, representatives of Chambers of Commerce Departmental took advantage of the presence of the Minister for talks with him, of investment opportunities in the North and Northwest, economic constraints and different problems at the fiscal, agricultural and commercial that could be resolved in the short term, in collaboration with the Government, including the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

These discussions were held in a cordial atmosphere and were concluded by the commitment of Minister Laleau to strengthen the structures of fiscal and customs control of the zone, he development of rural roads to make better use of resources and reducing the isolation of some parts of North and Northeast.
