Haiti - Social : Winners of the 4th Edition of National Program of Excellence of GRAHN-Monde

The Reflection and Action Group for a New Haiti (GRAHN) has announced the 16 winners of the 4th edition of its National Program of Excellence.

This program was established in 2011 in order to recognize and present individuals or organizations that embody the six major values of the organization locally.

The program also aims to commemorate all those who died in the January 12 earthquake and pay tribute to all those who work unknowingly to improve the lives of people in their community.

List of winners :

Citizen Action Prize given to Uzale Remay (Jacmel) ;

Farmer Prize to Father Gerard Dormevil (Gonaives ) ;

Artisan Prize to Péralte Pierre (Hinche) ;

Award for Collaboration and mutual aid to Sister Maureen Fulkell (Cap-Haitien) ;

Educator Prize to Michaelle de Verteuil (Apricot);

Prize of Entrepreneurship "Madan Sara" to Nahomie Simon (Mirebalais) ;

Environment and Development Prize to the Campus of Christian University of Haiti (Limbe) ;

Young Entrepreneur Award to Junior Jacques Richet (Gonaives) ;

Leadership Award to Gaston Jean (Gros Morne);

Creole-speaking Literary Prize to Émile-Célestin Mégie (Marigot) ;

French-speaking Literary Award to Simon Markendy (Port-au-Prince) ;

Agency Prize to the Georges Castera Library in Limbe) ;

Prize for Rural Affairs to Jean-Edy Theard (Mare-Rouge) ;

Scientific Award to Roberte Momplaisir (Port-au-Prince) ;

Jean Vorbe Group Prize for Women in Sports to Alexandra Fiéfié (Jacmel) ;

Jean Vorbe Group Prize for Men in Sports to Jean-Louis Killick (Cap-Haitien).
