Haiti - FLASH : Attack in series on the National #2

According to police sources, on the night of Saturday 13 to Sunday, February 14, 2016, no fewer than 18 vehicles from the South (Cayes, Jérémie...) were attacked by gunmen at about 4 am on the National Road #2, at Grand-chemin (Petit-Goâve).

According to other vehicles coming from the South were blocked by barricades of inflamed tires, erected by the bandits who forced passengers under gunpoint to hand over their money and valuables.

It is in this situation of panic among motorists and their passengers, that a police patrol finally came, putting to flight the bandits who fired into the air before disappearing in the wild...

Victims of banditry almost every night and morning, users of the National Road #2, including drivers and passengers from the South of the country, asking the National Police Directorate of Haiti (PNH) to agent deploy specialized units along the National to secure the lives and property of people.
