Haiti - Security : Major Police delegation in Les Cayes

Tuesday, 8 days after the attack of the Police Station of Les Cayes by a group of several dozen heavily armed men https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17467-haiti-flash-an-armed-commando-attack-the-police-station-of-les-cayes.html , a major police delegation composed among others of : Camille Edouard Jr., Minister of Justice and Public Security; Michel-Ange Gédéon, Director General a.i. of the National Police of Haiti (PNH); the No. 2of the Minustah the Commissioner Carl Alexandre, Joany Canéus, Central Director of the Administrative Police and the Divisional commissioner Carl Henry Boucher, Coordinator of the Departmental Directorates, went to Les Cayes to meet with police officers of the police station and staff of the Departmental Unit for Maintaining Order (UDMO).

Military greetings, handshakes, promises of a state funeral for the policeman Jean-Louis Tyson, death in service the day of asaut the Minister Camille and the DG of the PNH have done everything possible to motivate the men and encourage them to be more vigilant.

Without wanting to worry the people, the new Departmental Director, the Divisional Commissioner Marc-André Cadostin, installed after the attack of the police station, revealed that the PNH had recovered two guns on weapons carried by the commandos, which had forced and loot the armory.

For now, only six people were arrested in connection with the case, but according to police sources, the suspect list, as well as the number of weapons and ammunition stolen, undisclosed for strategic reasons, would be long, the commando according UDMO, comprised several dozen men.

For the Minister of Justice, performers or intellectual authors, the hunt is open on all fronts and relentlessly, in order to track, retrieve, capture and put out of harm these criminals and bring them to justice.
