Haiti - Elections : First political reactions, following the report of the CIEVE

Monday, since its publication, the report of the Independent Commission of Evaluation and Electoral Verification (CIEVE) is variously appreciated in the political class and divides opinions according to political dividing lines, the losers and the winners of the last elections. Jacques Sampeur, Spokesperson of the G-30, was satisfied with the content of the report of CIEVE and invited the political actors to plan the future of the country through a national conference.

Yvon Feuillé Representative of Fanmi Lavalas party support the Commission's report and informed that in the coming days, the management board of Fanmi Lavalas will present the official position of the party. The report was remote controlled, misprinted, thought, written by men of the National Palace [...] It is a strategy of President Jocelerme Privert to cancel the whole election process and dissolve Parliament," he said.

André Michel of the Platform of the radical opposition "Jistis" said on a radio station of the capital, that despite some flaws and weaknesses in the Commission report, the Platform Jistis is bound to respect the recommendations, such as the commitment that was made and signed by its political structure.
