Wednesday, the Principal Inspector, Garry Desrosiers, Deputy Spokesman of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) during a press briefing-balance revealed that from June 1 to July 12, 2016, during many operations in more than a dozen communes in the Metropolitan Region, 916 people were arrested for various crimes include: murder, robbery, illegal possession of firearms, criminal associations, armed robbery, rape etc..

Thirty guns and various ammunition were also seized during the operations.

Moreover the inspector Desrosiers indicated that as part of new measures to strengthen control of the movement of motorcycles, the police during this period, had made 457 seizure of this type of vehicle in default with the law.
