Haiti - FLASH : Government Decision for Private Security Agencies

For the second time in just over 3 months, the Government Privert takes some surprising measures for exceptional reasons of Public Security related to the electoral period, by suspending temporarily this time the issuing of operating authorizations of Private Security Agencies.

François Anick Joseph, Minister of Interior and Territorial Communities brings to the knowledge of the public general, of Security Companies in particular and those interested in the question that for exceptional reasons of Public Security related to the electoral periode it is obliged to temporarily suspend the issuing of operating authorizations of Private Security Agencies and the notice relating to acquisition of firearms and ammunition.

The Ministry further informs that in its allocation to ensure, together with the competent institutions, measures to ensure the internal Security of the State, two correspondences are sent to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, to that of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security in order that are given firm instructions to the relevant bodies under their respective supervision order to redouble their vigilance, to exercise stricter controls at ports, airports and border areas of the country, to strengthen the police force and road operations [...]"
