Haiti - Security : Promises to fight against insecurity and criminality

Camille Edouard Jr., the Minister of Justice and Public Security, once again promises to crack down on the resurgence of insecurity and criminality in Haiti.

He condemned the vicious crimes committed in recent days, notably against former Prime Minister Yvon Neptune https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19351-haiti-flash-former-prime-minister-neptune-attacked-shot-and-wounded.html and affirms that "preventive and coercive measures will be taken to curb any form of recrudescence of insecurity and criminality in the country."

The Minister of Justice "promises to tackle criminality", while informing the population of the installation of a security and prevention device subject to important measures in the security of the population. Stressing "agents of the National Police of Haiti carry out an identity check around certain roads in the capital Port-au-Prince."
