Large envelope for Parliament

In the 2017-2018 budget which has just been ratified, the Parliament obtains an envelope of 7.2 billion gourdes (+ 74%, compared to 2016 - 2017). More than the Ministry of Public Health (6.1 billion) and a little less than Agriculture (10.01 billion)...

"insignificant" environment budget...

The environment, which is supposedly a priority and an urgency of the Government, only has in the new budget 757 million gourdes (0.5%) out a budget of 144 billion...

Magistrates : Warning strike

The Professional Association of Magistrates rejects the 2017-2018 budget which grants only 0.8% (1.2 billion Gourdes) to the judiciary, ie the smallest amount awarded to one of the three state powers. Wando Saint-Villier, President of the Association, appealed to the judges of all the courts and tribunals of the country to stop working from Wednesday 13 to Friday 22 September warning that "If our demands are not satisfied, we will observe an unlimited work stoppage of the recess, the first Monday of the month of October," warned the magistrate.

Post-IRMA management meeting

The Director General of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government met with the Presidents of the Federation of Administration of the Communal Sections (ASEC) in the West, Nippes, North-East, North, South-East, Center, Artibonite and Grand'Anse regions around the management of the passage of IRMA at central and regional level.
