Thursday, as part of the celebration of International Women's Day, the Town Council of Croix-des-Bouquets, led by Mayor Rony Colin, formulated a special thought for the women of the Commune in general and those employed and executives of the City Hall in particular.

In a note, the Deputy Mayor Géraldine Cétoute on behalf of the Municipal Council paid tribute to the employees who invest their skills and their dedication to serve the taxpayers with courtesy and kindness within the framework of the policy of quality service and proximity to the population, initiated by the municipal administration.

In addition, it denounced all forms of violence against women and girls, saying that the Council intends to pursue its policy of protection of the person and gender equity.

Recall that beyond the words, the Municipal Council of Croix-des-Bouquets has already carried out numerous programs and activities in favor of the women and girls of the Municipality that it intends to pursue in order to accompany them on the social level, economic, sporting, educational, professional and political. Let us quote as examples among many :

• The accompaniment to the U-17 women's football selection https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-23523-haiti-news-zapping.html ;

• The support and the provision of financing to women entrepreneurs ;

• The creation of an adequate framework of work for employed women of the Communal Administration ;


• Accompaniment of women merchants ;

• Granting school subsidies to girls ;

  


• Activities and support for mothers ;

• Accompanying activities for women with disabilities ;

• The establishment of income-generating activities for women.

It should be noted that in its commitment to women's rights, equality and justice, the Croix-des-Bouquets Municipal Council stresses that it exceeded in the Communal Administration, the quota of 30% of women required by the Constitution but rarely respected.
