Haiti - Politic : Jovenel Moïse at the G7 Summit

Friday at the invitation of Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, President Jovenel Moïse accompanied by his wife Martine, at the head of a delegation composed notably of Chancellor Antonio Rodrigue, parliamentarians as well as members of his private cabinet, has left Haiti to Canada to participate in the G7 summit to be held on June 8th and 9th, under very high security, at the hotel "Le Manoir Richelieu" at La Malbaie in Charlevoix, Quebec.

During this Summit, which brings together the 7 major world powers (United States, Japan, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Italy and Canada), Russia was sidelined in 2014, President Moïse will attend a working lunch with G7 leaders.

Saturday, June 9, Haiti and 11 other invited Heads of State: Argentina, Bangladesh, Jamaica, Kenya, Marshall Islands, Norway, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, South Africa and Vietnam will participate in a special session on "Oceans Health and Resilience of Coastal Communities" For ± 5 minutes Jovenel Moïse on behalf of the CARICOM countries he chairs ai, will present the difficulties of the countries of the zone face of the effects of climate warming and make proposals to world leaders to provide solutions.

The Head of State, during this summit, will multiply the meetings and will meet among others with the President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta, as well as with the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzō Abe.
