Haiti - Politic : 17 Senators ask to interpellate the PM and his Government

While the Chamber of Deputies is preparing to proceed this July 14 at 10:00 to the interpellation of the Prime Minister Lafontant and his Government and vote or not a motion of censure, a majority group of Senators wrote this week to the President of the Senate, Joseph Lambert to ask him to notify the Prime Minister his interpellation front the Upper House.

"Honorable President,

Us, Senators of the Republic, signatories of the present, signify to the President of the Senate of the Republic Joseph Lambert, that the current Government of the Republic of Haiti no longer has our confidence.

Accordingly, we ask him to notify the Prime Minister that the signatories have decided to interpellate, as in fact they interpellate the Prime Minister and the entire Government for a motion of censure [...]"

Signatures of 17 Senators : Dieupie Chérubin, Pierre François Sildor, Sorel Jacinthe, Francenet Dénius, Jean Renel Sénatus, Rony Célestin, Ronald Larèche, Onondieu Louis, Raplh Fééthière, Jean Marie Junion Salomon, Denis Cadeau, Patrice Dumont, Wilfrid Gelin, Jacques Sauveur Jean, Youri Latortue, Nahoon Marcellus et Jean Rigaud Bélizaire.
