As part of the process of implementation of the renovated Secondary, the Ministry of National Education following several meetings with sector partners including the number of disciplines to be selected for the examinations of end of secondary studies and the exams anticipated, informs the general public and the educational community, in particular, that new provisions, become effective from this school year 2018-2019, have been adopted :

Secondary III students, according to the series considered, will have to pass advanced tests in the following disciplines :

Sciences of Life and Earth (SVT): French, Creole, English, Spanish;
• Science, Mathematics, Physics (SMP): French, Creole, English, Spanish;

• Economic and Social Sciences (SES): French, English, Spanish, Creole;

• Letters, Languages and Arts (LLA): French, Biology-Geology, Physics, Creole.

Secondary IV students, who are candidates for the secondary end of studies examinations according to the series considered, will compose in the following subjects :

• Sciences of Life and Earth (SVT): Mathematics, History / Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Geology, Philosophy;

• Science, Mathematics, Physics (SMP): Mathematics, History / Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Philosophy, Biology / Geology;

• Economic and Social Sciences (ESS): Mathematics, History / Geography, Economics, Philosophy, Biology / Geology, Physics, Chemistry;

• Letters, Languages and Arts (LLA): History / Geography, English, Spanish, Philosophy, Art and Music, Mathematics, Chemistry.

The Ministry is asking principals and teachers to take into account this new decision on the renovated secondary school in order to adequately support the students concerned in the preparation and success of these exams.
