Haiti - NOTICE : Activities «ti sourit» interdites dans l’aire métropolitaine

In a note dated October 2, 2018, Ocnam Clamé Daméus, the Government Commissioner, Chief of Public Prosecutions of Port-au-Prince, reminds the public in general and the organizers of outdoor nightlife activities "ti sourit" in particular, that in the jurisdiction of Port-au-Prince "these activities are formally prohibited from 1 September 2018 to 30 June 2019."

Daméus specifies that this measure "aims on the one hand the protection of the children and their concentration with the studies and on the other hand to avoid activities detrimental to the customs" underlining that "these activities which usually takes place very late at night give place the more often to displaced scenes associated with dissolute behaviors on the background of high decibels, capable of disturbing both spectators, participants and peaceful citizens in full sleep."

It states that the police force have been instructed to take all the necessary measures to ensure scrupulous compliance with this measure throughout the metropolitan area and that all offenders will be directly under the law.
