Haiti - Textile Industry : Taiwan releases funds for ADIH and training

Within the framework of Haitian-Taiwanese cooperation and the implementation of the Partnership Agreement signed on August 8, 2019 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28439-haiti-news-zapping.html between the Embassy of Taiwan (Republic of China) and the Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH) to support training in the textile sector, Bang-Zyh Liu the Ambassador of Taiwan in Haiti received Georges Sassine, the President of the ADIH who was accompanied by Bernard Craan, President of the Haitian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIH) and Gilbert Hyppolite, President of the Haitian-Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIHT).

Ambassador Bang-Zyh announced the release of the second tranche of funding for the benefit of ADIH in support of the accomplishment of its mission and the proper functioning of two training centers in clothing technology established respectively in the Metropolitan Industrial Park and in the Caracol Industrial Park where Ambassador Liu had been invited at the end of November 2019 to attend the graduation of 93 young professionals https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-29424-icihaiti-training-graduation-of-93-young-people-in-clothing-technology.html and during which he could see the quality of the training provided.

Ambassador Liu also took this opportunity to recall that the support of the Taiwanese Government for the proper functioning of these two training centers is part of the aim of supporting Taiwanese investments in Haiti where two Taiwanese companies are already established. textiles (EVEREST and FAIRWAY) which make a significant contribution to job creation and to the industrial and economic development of Haiti.
