The Senator William Jeanty, President of the commission responsible for analyzing the candidature file of Prime Minister-designate, Bernard Gousse, deplores the unflattering image, send by Haiti to the international, face to the difficulties encounter by the Executive and the Parliament on the choice of a Prime Minister, 60 days after the takeover of the new President Martelly.

"...The members of the Commission are coming Tuesday morning, because the meeting with Mr. Gousse was set at 10:00 a.m. when we arrived, the President of the Senate Rodolph Joazile, gave us a letter that the President of the Republic sent him [Monday, July 11] to say that [Bernard Gousse] had small problems, so he asked us to postpone the date and that he be able to come Thursday at the same hour.

Everyone was there, even people who apparently had said they would not sign but it is not the problem [...] moreover when there is a Commission, the President of the Senate, ensuring that all trends are represented [...] What is unfortunate is that the debates are done in a passionate atmosphere in an excited mood, this sends a very complicated image to the international. It is clear for the international community who watches us, that this confirms their thesis, which says that we can not head, that we can not run the country, that we are a team of children, a team of juveniles and this gives them an excuse to keep their tutors in Haiti.

It's a pity because this was an opportunity to show our maturity and our ability to take future of the country between our hands, to remove the country from its current situation"

According to our informations, a meeting was held last evening at the Palace, between parliamentarians and the presidency around the ratification of the Prime Minister-designate.
