Haiti - Health : Alix Lassègue resigns, the ex-strikers still dissatisfied

Despite the transfer of Marlène Thompson, former Administrator of the Hospital of the State University of Haiti (HUEH), to the position of technical Advisor to the Directorate of Training and Development in Health Sciences (DFPSS), which allowed, Wednesday the resumption of the hospital operations and despite the resignation Wednesday of Dr. Alix Lassègue, Executive Director of HUEH, the union members are still dissatisfied, according to Lévy Milot Félix the working conditions remain poor, in addition he is dissatisfied because he do not know when all diagnostic centers will be installed.

Concerning the resignation of Dr. Lassègue, Mr. Felix said that no one had problems with him, and indicates that he can not replace it.

Lévy Milot Félix also reported that "the strike was lifted, and we wish that there is no new strike to the general hospital, this proves that we do not have a responsible State, is a state firefighter that we have, we are fighting the state, a state that comes extinguish the fire and who does makes prevention..."
