Haiti elected to the UN Economic and Social Council

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that Haiti was elected (184 votes for out of 191 countries who voted) to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations for a term of 3 years. The elections took place on June 8 at the UN General Assembly and the mandate begins on January 1st, 2024.
