Haiti - Politic : PM celebrates International Youth Day

On Monday, August 12nd, 2024, Prime Minister Garry Conille, accompanied by several members of the government, participated in the celebration of International Youth Day, which took place around the theme : "Youth, digital sector and security."

During his speech, the Head of Government was keen to encourage the active involvement of young people in the digital transformation and to demonstrate civic engagement in discussions on digital security and civic responsibility.

Dr. Garry Conille took the opportunity to renew his Government's commitment to supporting initiatives that facilitate young people's access to digital technologies, while strengthening measures relating to digital education, thus creating an environment conducive to prosperity and the establishment of effective democracy.

"On this International Youth Day, I reaffirm my commitment to place the interest, the present and the future of the young women and young men of my country at the heart of all my decisions, as Head of Government and as a Haitian Citizen. Because in the midst of the mountain of uncertainty that the country is going through, Haitian Youth, in its sap and in its quintessence, represents hope. For the country and for the Youth, let us build a new Haiti to bring about progress and prosperity for future generations !"
