Haiti - Politic : Garry Conille spoke with Justin Trudeau

Prime Minister Garry Conille met with his Canadian counterpart, Justin Trudeau, on August 15 to discuss the political transition process and the security and humanitarian crisis. It was also an opportunity for the two men to discuss the deployment of the Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took the opportunity to reaffirm Canada's commitment to actively contribute to the success of the Multinational Security Support Mission in the country, in collaboration with Haiti's other partners.

Trudeau reaffirmed Canada's commitment to working with Haiti, Kenya and other international partners to ensure the success of the mission.

For the Canadian Prime Minister, it is necessary for the international community to mobilize and provide the support crucial to the success of this mission, emphasizing that Haiti's stability is a priority shared by all nations involved.

Trudeau also expressed satisfaction with Garry Conille's "leadership" in managing the crisis and assured Canada of its support for Haiti for the success of the transition and the organization of credible, transparent and democratic elections for the renewal of political leaders in Haiti.

The two men also discussed bilateral trade relations, which represent significant potential for both countries. They agreed to continue their discussions with a view to strengthening ties and historic cooperation between the two nations.
