Haiti - FLASH : Formal denial from the Prime Minister's office

The Prime Minister's Office of Communication informs the population that the Prime Minister has not taken any steps or initiated any talks with a view to creating any political party.

The Prime Minister's Office formally denies any rumor or statement concerning the creation of a political party on its initiative.

The Prime Minister's Office reminds the population that in accordance with the Agreement of April 3rd, 2024 for a Peaceful and Orderly Transition, the Prime Minister and his team are fully dedicated to implementing the five major projects of the transition roadmap, among which the restoration of security and the organization of elections constitute the absolute priorities.

It is also important to emphasize that no member of the Government will be able to run in the next elections, in accordance with Article 49 of the Agreement of April 3rd, 2024 and Article 11 of the Decree of April 10, 2024 establishing the Presidential Transitional Council.
