Umpteenth promise to fight smuggling

The Government will act against smuggling on the border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic. PAHO/WHO alongside St. Nicolas Hospital in St. Marc

On Saturday morning, the Pan American Health Organization and the World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in collaboration with the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS) and the support of the Directorate-General for Civil Protection and European Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) sent more than a ton of medical supplies to strengthen the capacities of the Saint Nicolas Hospital in Saint-Marc, on the front lines of the response, and perform 50 surgical procedures and treat up to 1,000 wounded.

Shaneyka Joseph : Miss West Haiti 2024

During the grand finale of the 7th Edition of the Miss West Haiti contest in Pétion-Ville at the end of September, Shaneyka Joseph (21 years old) won the crown among 9 finalists. Lourdemia Dorcena is the first runner-up and Denirva Pierre, the second runner-up.
