"This October 17, 2024, alongside the members of the Presidential Council, I paid a vibrant tribute to Jean-Jacques Dessalines by laying a wreath at MUPANAH. The presence of the State in this symbolic place reaffirms the commitment of the entire Haitian Nation to honor the Dessalinian ideal : a free, sovereign Haiti, united around the values ​​of justice and dignity," declared President Voltaire.

Subsequently, Leslie Voltaire, accompanied by members of the Transitional Council, Prime Minister Garry Conille and members of his Government, commemorated at the Villa d'Accueil, the memory of Jean-Jacques Dessalines in the presence of many personalities, including the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H), General Derby Guerrier, the Acting Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), Normil Rameau, the mayors of Delmas, Tabarre and Kenscoff and members of the diplomatic corps.

On this October 17, the Embassy of France in Haiti joins in the commemoration of the memory of Jean-Jacques Dessalines, Father of the Haitian Nation, and reiterates its commitment to support the authorities in order to restore security and peace in Haiti.
