Haiti - Education : Launch of the Master's Program in Public Procurement (Video)

Friday, February 14, 2025 at the Montana Hotel, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, in the presence of senior executives from the public administration, the University and the Government, launched the Master's Program in Public Procurement : Governance, Awarding and Management of Public Procurement, the result of a partnership between the National Commission for Public Procurement (CNMP) and the State University of Haiti (UEH).

In his speech, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé stressed that this is "[...] not only a decisive turning point for the public procurement system in Haiti, but it is also part of a broader political vision, focused on strengthening the capacities of the State, promoting good governance [...]" recalling that "for too long, our public procurement system has faced [...] A lack of professionalization, where market management often relies on skills acquired empirically [...]"

"This program reflects the Government’s desire to promote governance based on competence, ethics and integrity […] This Master’s program is not a simple academic initiative; it is a strategic instrument for transforming public resource management practices [...]

The results we are aiming for through this program are ambitious, but they are up to the challenges our country is facing. We do not only train specialists in public procurement; we prepare leaders, women and men who will be responsible for managing public resources with competence, ethics and commitment. [...]"
