On Saturday, March 29, 2025, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, accompanied by Minister Georges Wilbert Franck (Social Affairs), Minister Delegate Herwil Gaspard (Solidarity and Humanitarian Affairs), and Serge Gabriel Colin, Director of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), visited the National School of the Republic of Ecuador, now a refuge for displaced families fleeing armed gang violence.

Alix Didier Fils-Aimé made much more than an official visit; he immersed himself in the throng of displaced people to share intense moments of social and political emotion with these shattered families searching for hope.

He listened, shook hands, and embraced children whose innocence had been stolen by gang violence.

During his visit, he reiterated the Government's promise that "no one will be left behind." Hygiene kits, drinking water, decent sanitation kits, basic but vital needs. Concrete gestures to tell these displaced people that everyone deserves more than a makeshift roof, they deserve to return home, safe, with their heads held high, "Because a dignified people is a people who stand tall."
