Haiti - Security : The Ministry of Defense at the largest Defense and Security Fair in Latin America

An official delegation from the Ministry of Defense, composed of Jean Ronel Sistanis, Director General, Emmanuel Paul, Director of the Minister's Cabinet, and senior officers of the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H), participated in the 15th edition of the LAAD Defense and Security Fair 2025, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The LAAD Defense & Security Fair is recognized as the most important professional event in the defense sector in Latin America. Held annually, this event brings together companies from around the world specializing in the supply of equipment and services for the armed forces, police, special units, and security services.

During the four days of the event, the Haitian delegation was able to view the latest technological and industrial innovations in the defense and security sector. They took the opportunity to engage in discussions with global leaders in the sector.

Haiti's Ambassador to Brazil, Rachel Coupaud, facilitated exchanges and discussions between the Haitian delegation and various stakeholders in the sector. On the sidelines of the fair, bilateral meetings were held with companies that possess cutting-edge military equipment, essential to the modernization of the Haitian Armed Forces. Discussions focused on the specific equipment needs of the Haitian military institution, as well as the steps the Haitian government should take to acquire it.
