Haiti - FLASH : Massacre in Labodrie more than 40 killed and many injured

Between Thursday afternoon and Friday, September 12, 2025, Labodrie, a small village located between Arcahaie and Cabaret, was the target of a bloody attack by a heavily armed terrorist group affiliated with the criminal coalition "Viv Ansanm". The attackers perpetrated a veritable massacre, firing indiscriminately at a population they accused of being police informants.

According to a provisional report by Baptiste Joseph Louis, President of the Administrative Council of the Communal Sections (CASEC) of Boucassin (municipality of Cabaret), on a radio station of the capital, 42 bodies have already been counted, including children. An unknown number of people have been injured. Several others are missing. Houses have been burned. Survivors are attempting to flee the area, while the attackers are still present.

According to witnesses, the attack was in retaliation for the death of Vladimyr Pierre, alias "Vlad" the second leader of the Cabaret gang, and several of his men, killed on September 7 during clashes with law enforcement.

Looting, fires, rape, and summary executions have plunged the area into mourning and terror. Tensions remain high, with residents fearing a new wave of executions. Baptiste Joseph Louis is issuing an urgent appeal to central authorities to secure the area and recover the abandoned bodies, many of which have been devoured by dogs.
