Haiti - Tourism : The Minister of Tourism in Jacmel and Cap Haitien

Yesterday, the Minister of Tourism, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin visited the the Great North of Haiti. The ministerial delegation has met the mayor of the town of Ouanaminthe, accompanied by some representatives of public and private sectors of the area. The Minister visited the Haitian-dominican border during this passage.

Monday, Ms. Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin met to Jacmel all representatives of private and public sectors of Sud'Est around the vision and of the planning of tourism development in the region.

The meeting took place at the Hotel Florita in Jacmel at 10 am. Discussions focused on the potential of Jacmel and of its surrounding area, the redevelopment of the airport, the management of Bassin Bleu, the operation of the tourist port and the necessity to set up information kiosks on the activities of the city, many points that have made ​​the menu of debates.

By late afternoon the Minister of Tourism has conducted an exploration of some sites and projects of the area.
