Morocco Scholarship : Admission competition postponed to July 21, 2026 except for...

With reference to the notice of July 6, 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs applicants from the Great South in particular that the admission competition for the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco scholarship for the 2026-2027 academic year, initially scheduled for Les Cayes on Saturday July 18, 2026, is postponed to Tuesday July 21, 2026 and will be held at the public University of Les Cayes. The Ministry specifies that the date of July 18, 2026 is maintained for the centers of Port-au-Prince (Lycée de Pétion-ville) and Cap-Haïtien (MAEC regional office in Vaudreuil). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Religion thanks the candidates for their interest and invites them to make the necessary arrangements.

NOTICE : Voter Registration

The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) informs the population in general and the press in particular that voter registration operations, on the electoral register, begin on Monday July 20, 2026, in the capitals of 9 geographical departments of the country, with the exception of the West department. From Monday July 20, the population will have 90 days to register in voting centers across the country. The CEP invites citizens to come to the Registration and Voting Centers with their valid National Identification Card, in order to complete the registration formalities on the electoral register. A citizen can register at the voting center closest to their home or at the voting center in the constituency where they intend to vote. There are no predefined centers. But on voting day he will only be able to vote in the voting center where he is registered. Those who are not registered will not be able to vote.

Digicel : New optical fiber cut

Careers : Extension of deadline

The Ministry of the Environment informs that the ban on the exploitation of sand quarries in the areas of Pèlerin, Laboule, Boutilliers and Kenscoff is extended for an additional period of 15 days from July 16, 2026. At the end of this period, only the sites declared exploitable, on the basis of technical evaluations carried out by the Bureau of Mines and Energy (BME) and the National Evaluation Office Environmental (BNÉE), and whose operators have met the required regularization requirements, will be authorized to resume their activities.

Restitution of the project "The Rhythms of the Haitian Drum"

This Friday, July 17, 2026, UNESCO in Haiti hosted the restitution of the project Les Rhythmes du Tambour Haïtien. On this occasion, the guests discovered the first 35 minutes of the documentary series. Through the rhythms, the gestures of the artisans and drummers, as well as the different spaces where it resonates, the series recalls the essential role of the drum in Haitian cultural identity. Carried out with the support of the UNESCO Heritage Emergency Fund, this initiative contributes to preserving, documenting and transmitting this cultural heritage to present and future generations.
